Man Shot Multiple Times in Southern Humboldt

GARBERVILLE – A Southern Humboldt man is getting treatment for wounds after a shooting.

Just before 12:30 Sunday, a CHP officer was allegedly flagged down near China Creek by a subject who reported a man had been shot twice by three black males in a white vehicle and was taken to Jerold Phelps hospital in Garberville.

A CHP helicopter was hailed from Redding to help search for suspects still at large. Law enforcement continues to interview witnesses.

It is unknown the extent of the victim’s injuries. We will update this information as it becomes available.
