Around 9:30, deputies responded to the 16-hundred block of Central Avenue. A clerk was on duty vacuuming the store when 24-year old Jonathan Anderson entered wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a red bandana over his face. He allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money out of the register, grabbed some chewing tobacco and fled.

Surveillance video identified Anderson as an employee who was fired from the gas station a week prior for stealing lottery tickets. Law enforcement went to the suspect’s address and he later confessed that he robbed the station to pay off a debt. He was booked into jail for armed robbery.
