Humboldt CHP to hold informational recruitment seminar

EUREKA – The Humboldt County California Highway Patrol is looking to find new recruits, and is hosting an opportunity for prospective cadets.

The Humboldt California Highway Patrol is responsible for patrolling North Coast roadways and has been involved in aiding in dozens of crashes, pursuits and crimes this year alone.

On Wednesday, CHP Humboldt will hold a recruitment seminar for men and women interested in promoting community safety on the front lines.

Once hired, trainees go through the CHP academy for six months, paid, in the Sacramento area.

After graduation cadets may not be able to serve in Humboldt right away, as they may need to get experience elsewhere first.

The event will take place Wednesday evening at the Humboldt Bay Fire Training Center in Eureka at 6:30PM.
