Redwood National Park backcountry camping restricted due to fire danger

REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK – The Redwood National Park is calling for a closure of backcountry camping due to fire danger.
With temperatures soaring and windy conditions this weekend –backcountry camping in the park will be closed until further notice.

Camping closures include areas along Redwood Creek, and campsites at Elam Creek, 44 Camp, Flint Ridge, Demartin and Little Bald Hills.

Also, lighting fires anywhere within the park grounds is prohibited at this time, but fire restrictions will be lifted once weather conditions improve.
