Mattole Road pavement project to begin, causing closures and delays

MATTOLE ROAD – The scenic, yet so-called dangerous Mattole Road will soon be under construction for new pavement, and you can expected delays and closures for the month ahead.

California State Parks announced they will begin paving Mattole Road between Highway 101 and Grasshopper Road starting on Monday.

The project will continue on weekdays through the first week of October, and on these days between 8AM-5PM the road will be closed to all traffic.

You can also expect delays up to thirty minutes before and after these closures.
