Officer-Involved shooting at the Arcata Plaza

ARCATA- Arcata police are investigating an officer-involved shooting at the plaza early Saturday morning that left one man injured.

It happened at around 1:45 after shots rang out in front of Toby and Jack’s bar on 9th Street. A witness told News Channel 3 he heard 5-7 gunshots.

The man who was shot was taken by ambulance to Mad River Hospital for treatment.

The conditions of the man and the officer are unknown.

Along with Arcata police, officers from Eureka, UPD, CHP and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office all responded to the scene.
