Cal Fire Crews Help Forest Service Respond to 40 Acre Vegetation Fire

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- Crews from Cal Fire and the U.S. Forest Service responded Tuesday to a small fire in the Six Rivers National Forest.

Cal Fire had two crews and one engine on hand to slow the fire’s growth. It’s burning North-West of  Gasquet. The Forest Service crews are taking to the air, they estimate the fire’s size to be close to 40 acres.

No structures are in danger at this time. As for what sparked it? That information has not yet been released.
