Former Humboldt correctional officer arrested for sexual abuse of children

EUREKA – A former Humboldt County Correctional Officer is arrested for suspected sexual and physical abuse of children.

30-year-old Cory Jordan Fisher of Eureka is suspected of crimes including oral copulation, sodomy, lewd acts and ongoing sex with minors under 15 years of age.

He had moved out of the area but on Friday, Fisher was taken into custody following a warrant put out by the U.S. Marshal Service.

Fisher is at the San Bernardino County jail where he is awaiting extradition to Humboldt County.

His bail is set at one million dollars.

The Eureka Police Department, with assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, are involved in the investigation.
