Eureka teen home during burglary

EUREKA – A eureka teenager is home when a burglar comes inside.

The sixteen-year-old saw the suspect just before 7PM Tuesday in his home on the 300 block of Sonoma Street.

The confrontation caused the burglar to flee on foot.

He got away with a stolen shotgun and may have also taken hunting knives.

It’s believed the man got inside through an unlocked door in the back.

He’s described as a white male in his 20s with a goatee, wearing a black hoodie and beanie with jeans and was last seen running with the stolen shotgun.
