EUREKA – A celebrity chef brought a taste of Orleans right to Humboldt County tonight PBS celebrity chef Kevin Belton is hosting a benefit dinner featuring his signature style New Orleans style dishes from his show.

He says his favorite thing to cook is whatever you are hungry for.

Chef Kevin Belton says his passion from cooking came from growing when the most important time was spent around the dinner table with family.

Today he has his own cooking show that features the New Orleans style food that he was raised on.

Today he is here in Humboldt County hosting a benefit dinner for KEET-TV, the local PBS station, where he will be serving 4 of the dishes out of the cookbook that goes with his program.

Belton says he believes in PBS and because of that he is always finding ways to give back to that station that has given him so much.

All the money raised at tonight’s dinner will be going directly to KEET-TV.
