EUREKA – The Eureka Rescue Mission spent Wednesday cleaning up the community. About 22 program members picked up needles and trash all around old town this afternoon.

Eureka Rescue Mission’s Executive Director Bryan Hall says the guys who come out to pick up care a lot about keeping Eureka clean. Many of them stay at the rescue mission so the downtown is home for them and they want to keep it looking its best. They keep an extra eye out for syringes, wanting to make sure no one in the community is harmed by one lying around.

Hall says they don’t have classes on Wednesday or Saturday so those days are dedicated to community clean up.
