Higher pay negotiated for College of the Redwoods faculty

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) – Over the next three years, raises are coming to some faculty members at College of the Redwoods, following the approval of a bargaining agreement on October 3.

According to university spokespeople, the redwoods community college district board of trustees has approved a three year bargaining agreement with the CR faculty organization or College of the Redwoods Faculty Organization (CRFO).

What this means is wages for CR faculty will increase gradually over the next three years. The new agreement CRFO members say, is both fair and fiscally responsible for the school. The Board of Trustees President, Sally Biggins says the three year plan should not only provide higher wages but also stability for faculty moving forward.
