EUREKA – The fire devastation has brought many helping hands, both big and small, to assist those in need. Over at Ridgewood Elementary in Eureka, Mr. Richards was holding his morning meeting when his second graders decided they wanted to help too, and that’s just what they did.

On Sunday the entire class spread out throughout the community with lemonade and baked goods to collect donations for the fire relief efforts. After only 30 minutes today the table outside Murphy’s Market in Eureka had already raised about $300! The second graders say they’ll all excited to be helping others kids in need and their parents say they couldn’t be more proud.

All the money the students raised today is being donated directly to the Red Cross.
