Hospitalized Kneeland girl dies

DAVIS- A three year-old Kneeland girl has died after she was found in 70 feet of water at Shasta Lake.

Talya Benzinger passed away Friday evening at the UC Davis medical center in Sacramento.

Last month, her family was vacationing on a houseboat at the Bridge Bay Marina when Talya went missing. Her father, Mark Benzinger dived into the water and located Talya at the bottom of the lake.

Her mom told the Lost Coast Outpost, Talya will be missed forever, and never forgotten.
