Man wanted for Florida homicide found in Trinidad

TRINIDAD, CA. – A man wanted for a Florida homicide is found in Humboldt County.

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received information that the suspect, 29-year-old Samuel Martin Schultz out of Orlando, Florida, was hiding from law enforcement in the Trinidad area.

At about 2PM on Tuesday, the SWAT team organized, surrounding a home on 8th avenue in Westhaven.

The team was able to take Schultz into custody without incident.

Schultz remains in the Humboldt County Jail for now, and Florida detectives have since traveled here to question him as the investigation moves forward.
