Bread truck overturns on Highway 101 due to slick roadways

RIO DELL, CA. – A Franz bread truck overturns on Highway 101 due to slick roadways.

At 11:20 this morning, the truck was traveling northbound near the Wildwood exit in Rio Dell when it started to skid and loose traction because of standing water on the road.

The truck flipped multiple times and the on-ramp was closed for several hours, but the 40-year-old male driver sustained only minor injuries.

California Highway Patrol reminds motorists to drive with caution in these weather conditions, by allowing extra time to get where you’re going.
