New faces to take over as College of the Redwoods trustees

EUREKA, CA. – The College of the Redwood’s will be welcoming in two new faces on to their board of trustees.

As for area one, longtime incumbent Tracy Coppini, who has served in the position for the past twenty years, will be replaced by Bonnie Deister, who has served as a professor of health services at the school for sixteen years.

For area two, two small business owners Dan Kelley and incumbent Thomas Ross were up against each other.

Voters elected Dan Kelley, who is also a CR graduate.

Both new trustees won by a 56% to 42% margin.

Trustees are responsible for making appointments to positions such as president and make other key decisions in line with strengthening the school.
