Crews search for 28-year-old off of College Cove Beach

Trinidad, Ca., (KIEM)- A Coast Guard helicopter scanned the skies over College Cove Beach near Trinidad, after a 28-year-old man was reported missing after 3 pm Thursday.

According to State Park Ranger Keven Harder, a witness saw the young man fall from a rock he was climbing into the ocean. He was last seen in the water for a couple of moments.

Cal Fire, Coast Guard, and Sheriff’s Department resources were called in to search the water for the man. Because of the rainy conditions, park service officials want to remind the public to be aware of their surroundings when spending time outside.
