Trinidad resident found harboring missing Central Valley teen

TRINIDAD, CA. – A teenager who had been missing since early October from the Central Valley is found with help from Humboldt County law enforcement.

Atwater police reached out to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, alerting them a missing juvenile may have been in the Trinidad area with an unknown male.

Humboldt deputies contacted a phone associated with the missing teen and it’s location showed up near Trinidad’s Hidden Creek RV Park.

They reached resident 18-year-old Dominic Chase Darnley, who told deputies he and the juvenile used to have an online relationship, but denied being in contact since September.

However, the teen was spotted in Darnely’s trailer Thursday, and was retrieved by deputies.

Darnley was arrested and booked for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
