Crescent City K-9 officer credited for sniffing out drug violations

CRESCENT CITY – Crescent City police give their K-9 officer a pat on the head for assisting with another arrest.

Police say K-9 Kai is at it again – on Sunday at 2:00AM, Kai helped locate drugs and firearms during a routine traffic stop on G Street.

Kai detected narcotics and led officers to find suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun.

Two out of the three vehicle occupants were arrested on narcotics charges, including 40-year-old John Albert Angelino of Crescent City, and 23-year-old Raven Marie Sanderson.
