Property owners asked to vote on formation of Clark Historic District in West Eureka

EUREKA – Property owners in a west Eureka neighborhood have two more weeks to decide if they want to form a new historic district.
The proposed Clark Historic District encompasses fifteen blocks from Pine to C Streets and from 8th to Cedar.
Ballots have been mailed to nearly 150 property owners in that area.
Votes will determine if those owners will be expected to meet additional design guidelines when making changes that would effect the character of buildings.
The district’s formation requires a 60% majority of all votes cast. Ballots must be returned by December 22.
