North Coast Marine Mammal Center non-profit seeking donations for seal rescues

CRESCENT CITY, CA. – It’s almost the busiest time of year for the North Coast Marine Mammal Center’s seal rescue program, and crowd funding is underway.

The non-profit expects to be full to the brim, with the Pacific Harbor seal pupping season starting in just a couple months.

They expect dozens of pups will need saving due to mothers being killed or scared off, and off-leash dog attacks.

Rescued seal pups require intensive care that can cost as much as $1000 each, but volunteers say it all pays off when the pups are released back into the wild.

An online donation page has been started to help, here:  www.gofundme.com/save-baby-seals

All donations are tax deductible.
