Crime tip leads to arrest of wanted felon in Redway

REDWAY – Humboldt County Drug Task Force agents respond to a tip and arrest a wanted felon in possession of heroin.
52-year-old Kevin Sampson was driving a truck on Redwood Drive in Redway Tuesday afternoon around 3:00.
Sampson was wanted for felony possession of narcotics for sales.
When a sheriff’s deputy pulled Sampson over, officers found a half ounce of suspected heroin, a scale and information indicating drug sales.
He was arrested on the warrant and fresh narcotics charges.
Sampson’s passenger 54-year-old Rodney Mixon was arrested for outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
