Pursuit from Eureka to Fields Landing ends in arrest

FIELDS LANDING – One woman is in custody after she led law enforcement on a chase from Pine Hill to Fields Landing.
Just before 5:00 Tuesday evening, Humboldt County Drug Task Force officers were pursuing a black Acura sedan on Herrick Avenue.
Police scanner traffic indicated the female driver was throwing objects from the vehicle as it fled south on to Highway 101.
The driver exited at Fields Landing and officers took her into custody at West and Central Avenue.
What spurred the chase or what crimes the woman allegedly committed are unknown at this time. Officers on scene said she will be booked on a multitude of charges.
Eureka Police and California Highway Patrol also responded to assist.
