Olsen resigns as South Fork Athletic Director, coach

MIRANDA- It’s not how Andy Olsen planned to end his career at South Fork High School. But in an unexpected move, the athletic director has resigned. Olsen was also the head varsity baseball and football coach.

This past season, he helped lead the Cubs to their first ever eight-man football championship.

Olsen told News Channel 3 it’s a decision he’s not happy with, but when you lose the support from administrators, it is time to no longer associate yourself with the situation. He also feels extremely terrible for the students and would like to thank the community for all their support.

Olsen is South Fork graduate and coached at his alma mater for 14 years.
