Humboldt State student’s lost money returned with help from instructor

ARCATA, CA. – A Humboldt State University instructor turns a student’s week around who had lost nearly $1,500.

Biology instructor Daniel Burrell says he spotted a bank envelope by the library.

He picked it up and noticed it was heavy, then turned it into University Police.

With help from police staff, the $1,450 was reunited with its owner.

UPD Chief Donn Peterson says the act “reflects on the values of HSU.”
