HSU names White interim head football coach

ARCATA- With the resignation of longtime football coach Rob Smith, Humboldt State is moving in a new direction.

At a press conference Monday afternoon, assistant Cory White was named interim head coach. White will be responsible for recruiting and getting the players ready for spring practice.

The process is already underway to find the next head coach. A search committee will be formed and narrow down the list of possible candidates.

White spent the last two seasons as the HSU offensive line coach and has 14 years of coaching experience.
