Kelly L. Neel of McKinleyville sworn in as Humboldt County Judge

EUREKA, CA. – A new judge takes to the bench in Humboldt County.

Governor Jerry Brown selected 47-year-old Kelly L. Neel of McKinleyville to fill the seat of now retired Judge Timothy P. Cissna.

Neel has practiced law privately for years before serving as a Humboldt County Deputy Public Defender, Assistant District Attorney, and a Deputy County Counsel.

Judge Neel put in a statement that she is honored to “have the privilege of upholding the values of fairness, integrity and equality” in her courtrooms.
