Fortuna City Council to hear from public on housing needs

FORTUNA, CA. – Fortuna Council is considering changes to be made to the Friendly City’s General Plan.

At their upcoming meeting, Fortuna council and citizens will gather for a public hearing revolving around The Housing Element of the General Plan.

Required to be updated every five years, The Housing Element ‘evaluates existing housing programs and establishes quantifiable objectifies to address local housing needs’.

This can cover bases from providing assistance for persons with developmental disabilities, preservation of mobile homes, to infrastructure changes.

You’re invited to share your perspective at the meeting on Monday, which begins at 6PM in Fortuna City Hall.
