Old Town restaurant damaged in fire

EUREKA- A fire is quickly extinguished at an Old Town restaurant.

Humboldt Bay Fire responded to the five-eleven restaurant at around eight Friday morning. When they arrived, the fire was already out.

It appears the business was drying wood that caught fire after it was placed too close to a stove.

The restaurant sustained smoke and water damage.

Officials tell us if not for the fire alarm system and sprinklers, it could have been a lot worse.
