See Something, Say Something: HCSO discusses school shooting prevention

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- In light of the tragic high school shootings in Florida and similar threats at other schools across the nation the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has a simple message : see it, hear it, report it!

They want to remind students, teachers, staff and parents if they hear or see a threat made toward a school or public facility, report it immediately. They say call law enforcement about any direct threat to a school or facility, any non-specific or general threat about harming the public, or any social media messages about school violence or harming public safety.

Remember to give them the name of the person making the threat, where you heard or saw it, any specific details and if its online, take a screen shot to send to law enforcement.
