Eureka man arrested on drug charges

HYDESVILLE- A month-long investigation leads authorities to a man suspected of making and selling heroin.

34-year old Victor Sandoval was arrested Friday night after the Humboldt County Drug Task Force got a warrant to search his car and home.

Agents saw Sandoval driving on Rohnerville road near State Route 36 in Hydesville just after nine. When he stopped, got out and walked across the street.

Agents detained him, finding a half-pound of suspected heroin on him. They then searched his car and discovered his wife, 30-year old Sandra Sandoval, inside.

Agents then went to his home in the 700 block of Buhne Street in Eureka and found another half-pound of suspected heroin, plus scales, cutting agents and other items used in drug sales.

Victor Sandoval was arrested for possession of a narcotic for sale, transportation of a narcotic and maintaining a residence for the purposes of distributing a narcotic.

His wife was not arrested, but agents are seeking a warrant to charge her with the same offenses as her husband.
