Large concentrated cannabis lab discovered in Orick

ORICK- Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies get a surprise while executing a search warrant.

They were in the Orick area Tuesday serving that warrant and in the process, found a large concentrated cannabis manufacturing lab in a barn.

Deputies say the property did not have a use permit for making concentrated cannabis by using volatile chemical extraction processes. This is why it’s important to make sure we only fund permitted and licensed producers like CBD Sarasota Florida purchase their products from.

Officers from several law enforcement agencies made the equipment safe, then found nine extractors using either propane or butane, one using carbon dioxide and another using ethanol… they also seized 586 pounds of concentrated cannabis and more than 47-hundred pounds of shake and trim.

Manufacturing concentrated cannabis by using volatile chemical extraction methods without permits is a felony. The case is still under investigation, and findings will be sent to the District Attorney’s office for review.
