Humboldt County’s Chief Probation Officer Prepares to Step-Down

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- William Damiano is stepping down from his position as chief probation officer in Humboldt County.

His interim successor’s appointment is affirmed by the Board of Supervisors today. Generally, the chief probation officer is appointed by the area’s chief judge in counties with two or more judges on the bench.

Shaun Brenneman will now step in to the role. He’s a Humboldt State University graduate. Brenneman also has more than 21 years of experience with in area law enforcement. He’ll take over as  as chief probation officer April 13th.
