Students participate in red thumb campaign

EURKEA., Ca (KIEM)-Eureka high students took part in a nationwide pledge to end texting and driving.

This week students got their thumbs painted red as a reminder to put the phone down while driving.

Faculty, parents, and students gathered on campus today to share stories and raise awareness of the dangers of texting and driving. The purpose of the red thumb campaign is to remind drivers to put their phone down when they reach for it behind the wheel.
