Aegis treatment center searches for new site

EUREKA., Ca (KIEM)-The company, Aegis, has decided not to open their new treatment center near Redwood Acres.

The proposed site, located on the twenty-eight hundred block of Harris Street, was formal Eureka Pediatrics and would have served as a center for treating those dealing with opioid and methadone addictions.

But those living and working in the area pleaded with the organization and local officials. Saying that their way of life would be drastically impacted.
