Burglary suspect escapes deputies in McKinleyville after attempting to pull a motorcycle over a fence

MCKINLEYVILLE, CA. – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who tried to steal a motorcycle early Thursday.

It happened just before 5AM in McKinleyville.

Deputies answered a burglary alarm call, and when they arrived they saw a man trying to pull a motorcycle over a fence.

As they approached him, he fled into nearby woods.

They didn’t find him, but did recover several items taken from the home.

Deputies say the suspect was wearing a paintball-type mask and black Carthartt jacket.
