Bay Area man found dead on Highway 101 was shot in head

EUREKA- The Humboldt County Sheriff’s office has identified the body found on Highway 101 near Salmon Creek as that of Salvatore Riccobono the fourth.

We’re told the 29-year old Concord man was shot once in the head then run over with his own vehicle.

That vehicle, a 1998 gold Infinity SUV is missing along with a nine millimeter pistol he carried.

The SUV had a California plate with the number 4ASX760. Deputies say if you see it, call them immediately.
