Man with felony warrant arrested

MCKINLEYVILLE – A sharp-eyed deputy spotted a man wanted on felony charges, and finds more than he expected. Saturday afternoon, a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol in Mckinleyville saw felony warrant suspect Loren Michael Lenhart at a bus stop.

He approached the 26-year old and asked about several items near him. The deputy says at first he claimed they were not his, then said they were. Turns out, the chainsaw and blue jeans had been stolen earlier in the day from a store and pawn shop.

Lenhart was arrested and charged with shoplifting and buying or receiving stolen property. He also had a felony warrant against him for vandalism, tampering with an automobile, and resisting arrest.
