EPD ramps up patrol along Waterfront Trail

EUREKA., Ca (KIEM)- Eureka’s Waterfront Trail, as anticipated, is seeing a lot of foot traffic and as summer approaches the Eureka Police Department has plans to be there, and continue to make it safer.

On the trail, we asked folks what they thought about the new ranger position and most of them approved of the added security, but still wouldn’t use the trail late at night.

There is currently patrols all along the trail, but the ranger position will be officially in effect this summer.
