Eureka stabbing victim crashes into mailbox, SUV

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – A stabbing victim crashed into a mailbox, and another vehicle while attempting to drive himself to the hospital on Friday in Eureka.

Just before 1:00PM, the victim was driving a white pickup traveling on Harrison Avenue when he struck a mailbox, and then a Mercedes SUV, before coming to a stop.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene, and transported the driver, with a stab wound to his torso, to the hospital for treatment.

Eureka police say the stab victim was involved in an altercation with unknown suspects at a local motel.
