McKay Community Forest gets new access point

 

Cutten., Ca (KIEM)-The Humboldt County Public Works department is working on making the Mckay Community Forest in Cutten, more accessible.

Just over four hundred and fifty thousand dollars will go into the construction of an access point along Northridge road, with parking and trailhead facilities.

They also plan on widening a portion of Walnut drive to allow for a left-turn lane onto Northridge road. The construction began yesterday, and with the new improvements, the city hopes more people will be able to enjoy the Mckay forest.
