Ferndale teen crowned as 2018 Dairy Princess

FORTUNA, CA. (KIEM) – A new Dairy Princess is crowned out of the Cream City.

Ferndale’s own Madeline Holmes has been selected as the California Milk Advisory Board’s 2018 Dairy Princess.

She follows retiring Dairy Princess, Haley Benbow, who passed down the reins on Friday.

As District 1’s Princess, Madeline will represent Del Norte and Humboldt County on the Milk Advisory Board’s Communications Services team.

She’s a Fortuna High junior, a member of FFA, and has goals of someday studying animal science.

Eureka High’s Austynn Gallagher took home the title of Alternate Dairy Princess, and Fortuna High’s Annabelle Raven will serve as Second Alternate Dairy Princess.
