CR’s Figuerido signs with Monterey Bay

EUREKA- A College of the Redwoods graduate know for his hitting will be swinging for the fences in Monterey.

Kokko Figueriedo signed with  Monterey Bay on Tuesday afternoon. This past season for the Corsairs, the sophomore hit 371 with 2 homeruns and 26 rbi. He also had 12 stolen bases.

Before leaving for his new school, the Fortuna grad will spend the summer with the Humboldt Crabs.

Figueriedo said he is grateful for the support of his teammates, coaches and family.
