Boater’s Card Now Required For Anyone Under 20

Fortuna, Ca., (KIEM)- As of January 2018 all boaters under the age of 20 are now required to carry a stet issued Boater’s Card to operate a marine vessel in California Waterways. This includes sailboats and push-vessels. It’s part of a state wide safety initiative that will soon require the card for all residents in the golden state, regardless of age.
