Community Gun Forum provides safe space for discussion

Eureka.,Ca- Tonight, in light of an increase in gun violence. Members of the North Coast community gathered to listen to each other’s stories, experiences and beliefs on current gun laws and access. The forum was held at the Wharfinger building in Eureka.

Dru miller was there and reports that this was a private forum. There were around 40 people in attendance. Those who signed up agreed to take a survey, pay a small fee, and agree to engage in a civil conversation. We were told not to film or record any of the meeting. Miller did however participate as a citizen of this community and as they all sat in a circle sharing our opinions on the controversial topic, a sense of community was present. Here is what a few participants had to say about their experience.

And for those who were unable to attend. There is talk of a second meeting scheduled in august hosted by interface fellowship.
