Madrone wins Supervisors race

EUREKA- It appears there will be a new district five Humboldt County Supervisor.

Steve Madrone holds a 103 vote lead against current supervisor Ryan Sundberg. That total was released Thursday afternoon by the Humboldt County Elections office.

There are still some ballots to be counted, but Is not expected to change the outcome.

The fifth district covers northern and eastern Humboldt County.
