Miranda Woman Faces Child Endangerment Charges: Meth and Needles Allegedly Found in Her Home

Miranda, Ca., (KIEM)- A Miranda woman is behind bars for child endangerment. Deputies say those charges were brought after drugs and paraphernalia were found at the home of 30-year- old Amber Friend.

A probation search of Friend’s home was ordered earlier this month after neighbors said an unusual amount of vehicle and foot traffic had gathered outside her river road residence. Deputies say they found methamphetamine, loaded hypodermic syringes and other paraphernalia.
An arrest warrant was issued yesterday, and after attempting to leave her property, Friend was apprehended in a traffic stop. She is booked at the Humboldt County jail for storing and distributing drugs for sale and other charges.
