Humboldt Bay Fire assists with Pawnee fire

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) California Governor, Jerry Brown, declared a state of emergency for a Northern California wildfire that remains to spread. Battalion Fire Chief, Sean Robertson, shares that members of the Humboldt Bay Fire, Strike Team, is providing Lake County officials a lending hand.

“Generally, we have a week commitment,” said Robertson. “If they need us longer we will rotate people in.”

According to Cal Fire, the Pawnee, is the first local wildland fire this year in Lake County.
