June Coffee with Captains’ in Old Town

A cup of joe with a couple of captains. Today, the Eureka Police Department sent Captain Stephens and O’neill to Old Town Coffee and Chocolates, for a community event from 9 until 11 a.m.

Coffee with the Captains’ is a monthly event. A way for community members to voice their concerns or just get to know their local law enforcement.

Captain O’Neill tells us he had two minute conversations and 15 minute conversations today. He says a local business owner shared her concerns outside of her shop and a few community members talked about specific problems in their general neighborhood.

The captains’ were able to put those concerns into their system and set up extra enforcement patrols in those problem areas.
